Title: WBA-11-SS not fully initializing at startup
Post by: SteveP on March 22, 2021, 11:23:02 AM
Hi all,
I have a IGT S+ machine that has been working great... until yesterday. The Bill Validator decided it would no longer work as it should.

The Validator in question is a WBA-11-SS USA-501-23

When I turn on the machine, the validator reverses, but then stops the internal test. Neither of the red lights blink (they stay on/solid)

I have ran a test using DIP 8 and all motors and such seem to operate fine... no errors/blinking lights that I can see/hear

I have swapped the head in to another machine and it does the same, the other machine head operates fine in this ones place fine, thus isolating the head of the unit as the issue.

When I lift the head top half, it does not cycle in forward/reverse, like the good head.... this one does nothing.

Any ideas?

Swap power supplies or the WBA transport.

Maybe it's a dead head?

Ken, If I swap heads from the transport of a good machine to the bad one, it works fine.... The bad head to the good machine dies, so I don't think it's a power issue. Also when I do the test using pin 8, all toggles seem to operate their function of the head correctly.

Stayouttadabunker..... It may be.... I have another head on the way just in case... odd that this one tests well, but just doesn't function as it should... I'd like to have it for my parts pile if I can get it working.
