Title: Bally 1081--6H repairs
Post by: kfgreman on September 23, 2014, 11:55:03 AM
Hello,
I am new to this site and I have a Bally 1081-6H slot machine that belongs to my uncle and he wants to get it repaired so his grand children can play the machine for fun. I need to find someone that can repair this item and bring it back to life for some enjoyment. The unit comes on and you can pull the lever and the rolls start to move but the will not work hardly at all. I took the complete unit out and oiled it very well but still not working right. I called my uncle and he ask me to find someone to fix it and get it working. I live in NC and I can ship it anywhere to get fixed. I have uploaded some pictures to this posting so you can see what I have. any help would be great.
Thanks

This is a Bally Medalist. It is a good machine to have. I have one that I repaired in my collection and have been working on Ballys for a while. One of my favorite machines, BTW ... you have a generic belly glass in it. I might be able to find you the original belly glass too. Shipping would be expensive, but I go to Georgia to spend time with the kids around Christmas and could possibly drop in and repair it. If that interests you let me know. Unless you can get it up to Philadelphia for me to fix. Yould have to have all the shipping worked out and it would be pricey.

Sounds like Dave may have you covered.
Also, remember that if you let the machine warm up in a WARM place, the oils will loosen and it will work much better.
Cold oil and grease are harsh for proper play.

Dave has been a great help and talking with him everyday. Thanks for the input but the machine has been inside with temperatures at 75 for 2 months. I am going to send Dave the wheel assbly so he can make it happen.
Thanks
Greg
