You need an ekey set (3,4,5) or a universal ekey 7 which had all the features of 3, 4, 5, in one key. They run ~ $400.00, but if you've going to own an AVP you really need to have one.

its a bartop slot circa 1998 and does not have usb headers
its running an intel i960 if that helps

Oh OK, it's not a G20 then, so you'll get off a lot cheaper. The proper key depends on the game software installed on the MPU board. Do you have access to it so you can post the numbers from the Base/GME chips?
-
okay
GME1&2
G0001777
PXL1&2 CG1&2
C0000351
BASE
M0000526
those are the codes on the GME, PXL, CG, and the BASE chips respectively

GK4.0
key17 to key only
key22 to clear
-
where would i plug it in at?

It's a 40 pin eprom and it goes in the base socket.

When you install the Clear or key chip pay attention to the notch on the end of the chip. It must only go in one way.

Turns out i mightve gotten the wrong keychip, i have installed the key 17 from the s2000 series, and it purple screens when i plug it in
if yall can help me again thatd be great

That's what it's supposed to do. You get two amber lights on MPU. (purple screen), turn machine off and replace with the base chip and boot machine with door open and you will get keychip menu.

One more thing, can anyone tell me what the version of my bartop machine actually is
igt had it listed as a g20 thats why i thought it was a g20 but if anyone can tell me what it actually is thatd be great

Older Game King bartop unit with 3802 board looks like to me.

...igt had it listed as a g20...
You bought the machine directly from IGT?
You'd think they'd know the difference between a G20 and a Game King?
