Title: WTB - EBB for Williams BB1...maybe
Post by: Rane420 on April 24, 2016, 01:52:34 AM
I'm interested in getting my BB1 set up to run a Griffins Gate game I bought a while back, but not sure how much the project will run me.  I ran across an EBB panel for about $50 shipped, but haven't bought it yet. Most of my cash has been BB2 directed recently, so it may be this is cost prohibitive to pursue right now, but if the remaining parts needed don't add up too quickly or someone has everything I will need in one package deal I'd love to get some quotes so I know whether this is something I can take on right now.  To be honest, I'm not even sure what is needed aside from the button itself.  I seem to remember there being some additional cables and maybe some sort of board that connects to the back plane.

Thanks!

If you want it factory you will need these in addition to the ebb deck:

EBB SPN controller board (Your ebb ribbon cable connecto this board, which supplies it with power and interface to SPN bus)
SPN Distribution Hub
A pair of SPN cables
Aux Power cable to SPN Distribution Hub.

I know some people have done with only the EBB SPN controller and one SPN cable, plus you have to supply power to the SPN board,  I'm not 100% sure of the voltage, but I believe it is 5 volts.

Thanks again Rick!

Now I know the pieces I'm looking for at least.  Hopefully somebody has some they want to part with.  Do you happen to have any ballpark guesses on what everything should run?  If it's in he $100 or less neighborhood I'm good, more than that I probably need to hold off a while.  I don't want to be low balling people if this stuff sells for a lot more, just trying to figure out if I should even be pursuing this one right now.

I've seen all the pieces including the deck for as high as $175 to a low of $125.  I  haven't seen a complete set lately.  If you post a WTB maybe someone will chime in.   This is the spn controller board for the ebb deck.

That helps.  I actually started this as a WTB, but I probably muddied the water by asking what I needed at the same time.  Probably should have broken it apart as two threads.  Spin is also the one that has the button panel that I was talking about in the start of the thead for $35+$12 for shipping.  Since they have these components, maybe they have the hub and cables as well.

In fact, I see this listed with reference to the "Hot hot games", would this be the hub?

If so, and the needed cables come with the parts, they may be the one stop shop I was hoping for.

Yes, that's the HUB.

Well, Spin didn't have the cables but another vendor had everything I needed and was able to help me out.  I appreciate all the help and will mark this one complete :-)
