Title: $30 Bally slot machine in Minneapolis area
Post by: knagl on October 13, 2020, 11:47:33 AM
Just saw this on Facebook marketplace, $30 for a Bally (S5500?) slot machine, just west of Minneapolis. Heck of a deal for someone.

I’ve tried and been flagged. It just seems to depend on the area.

I just read the Facebook market place rules; there is no prohibition on gaming devices.

I have had my ads flagged a few times on FB. All I get is that it’s Prohibited.

Well, I have gone round and round with Facebook and it comes down to Zuckerburger and his cronies are covering their butts.
They are tired of being called in front of congress to explain their business practices...

Promoting gambling is NOT allowed on Facebook, rule number 9 in commerce policies:

Gambling
Listings may not promote the buying, selling or facilitation of online gambling for money or money's worth, including digital currencies. Online gambling includes gaming, betting, lotteries, raffles, casino, fantasy sports, bingo, poker and sweepstakes in an online environment.

While rule number 9 doesn't apply to what we do the guy in charge of flagging thinks it does!
I have gotten flagged and warned so many times anything I post there gets flagged. I posted my 1930 Model A for sale and it got flagged. I posted some old fence boards with great patina for building bird houses and I got flagged. I posted a pic of a slot machine with no description but 'cleaning out the garage' and I got flagged...

You might get lucky and sneak through an ad or two but sooner or later the Zuckerburger is going to gig you...

Everytime I put up another of these double slot machine stands it gets kicked off because it goes against their rules.  I guess they don't allow black tables!  To make sure it don't get booted I list it as a 'Double Upright Game Stand' then a week later edit it to call it Double Slot Machine Stand (marketplace search for it,  it is there NOW!) and they don't bother it.

that is what EBAY used to do - remember?  - all of a sudden all coin machines (slots - banks - gumball etc) would be removed
