Post by: busabrent on November 02, 2021, 02:31:16 PM

I am slowly learning this machine but i haven't been able to track down what causes the cash box to cycle the part that pushes the bill down? keeps going up and down i am unable to post the video because the file size is over 1MB, the bill acceptor is also not accepting bills but seems to be working

also where do you guys buy parts from? i don't have enough rep to posted to the classifieds

Most likely the BV head is bad. But remove the head,  open the top of the head and clean the optics with a cloth dampened with water only. You can look thru the classifieds here and on Ebay  search JCM DBV  DBV200 or a DBV145 will work. EPROM based heads can be updated to use the new $20

The transport plugs into the head on the right side. Check the wires there.  I sent you a PM

There are 3 "U" shaped optics on the transport.
The one in the very back detects the transport platform movement.
If that optic is bad or weak platform movement is not detected and it keeps seeking, up and down, up and down.

Replacing that optic with a "fresh" one usually solved the seeking problem.
Try cleaning it, maybe some water scum is blocking the optic eye.

was able to pry the box open without destroying anything, little dusty cleaned sensors still cycling. there is some rust on the head i have a working one on the way, if that doesn't work ill replace the transport

I am looking to replace or fix my DBV-145-SG with DBV 200 Does anyone know where I can buy one or how to get my old one to work? It lights up all red stays red. Everything else works fine.  I had to reset ram and was wondering if I need to reset bill indicator?
