yeah i have that list thanks, after i get to 65.1 and reset it it goes to : 0000 0000 0/1
-
Then why are you turning reset key? It says to push the test button.
-
oh sorry i don't have the lingo down, that's what i mean by reset, we're not that good with our descriptions here in CA
-
i'm running now on quarters now i guess I have to enable the bv?
-
To enable the BV you will need a SET chip.
Instructions can be found in Ricks FAQ - Go to the NLG home page, bottom right.

Yep...you'll need a SET chip for that.
oops...Jay beat me to the answer...lol

The correct way to write your code showing is [61-1]....at least that's the way IGT writes it in their manuals. :cool_thumb_up:
-
yeah i have a chip and got to 9-1 but didn't know where to go from there, i didn't push any buttons after that i just shut it off
-
You must set the denom also.
-
Follow the instructions exactly and you shouldn't have a problem.
Below is a link I've attached that Jay was referring to...>>>

much appreciated thanks to all. it runs on quarters only so i guess the denom is set. thanks for the link i will give that a try.

NO.
The S+ runs on credits not quarters.
When you put in a coin, it is compared to whatever is inside your coin comparator.
If the coin is accepted it passes by the coin optic and a credit is generated.
The machine is completely unaware if you have a nickel, dime, penny, quarter, dollar, token, etc. Its a total comparative process.
Yes if you want to change it from a quarter to a dollar you would need a different coin head, a different coin comparator designed for large coins (cc-33 vs cc-16) and you would need a different wheel for your hopper. Irrespective the machine has NO idea what kind of coin you have in your comparator. If it matches you get a credit.
The SET chip - which you can read about in RICKS FAQ (bottom right of the home page) both enables the validator and tells it what denomination - ie if you SET the denomination as 0.25 you will get 4 credits when you put in a dollar. You will see the bill head light up when the bill validator is enabled. . My
My machines all say 25c but I run them off of tokens and my bill validator is set for 1c so I can quickly put on 100 credits for a buck.
-
yes i have a quarter in the comparitor and it seems to be working fine, i followed the link i guess from jay, anyway i followed that to the t with other known working bv's and transports and none of them work in the machine, so i put them back in their respected cabinets and they function just like they should, it's funny that the bill bezel lights up but it won't see anything.

You can get a DBV 200
However if it came from Bally the software on the chip will be wrong.
Some models had a swappable chip, others were soldered in.
There is also the concept of protocol a S2000 uses protocol 024 while a S+ uses protocol 023 this is settable by dipswitch.
I believe the S+ uses a pulse method of communicating to the slot while the S2000 actually passes serial data.
Other heads DBV 145, DBV 200, WBA 11/12/13, MEI are also compatible provided they have the right software and protocol.
-
S+ uses either 022/023. S2000 uses 024
-
yeah thanks, I just bought 4- 023 today
-
let me ask you this, i'm guessing this is the power supply for dbv-200 and that is what what the wba 12ss is hooked to, so my question is will that power supply run the 12-ss
-
the stacker and bv cycle when the machine is powered up but it just doesn't want to pull the bills in and thats with the bezel lit up too
-
Open the head and clean the censers with warm water and q-tip.

No you need the silver power supply.

Here's a pic:

okay, cleaned the sensors and guess what? she now takes bills whoo hoo. now if i put in a dollar it spits out a dollar in quarters put in a 5 and it spits 20 quarters and so on, i came across this a few months back and someone made it so simple he had it fixed in a few seconds, but i can't remember what it was, only if I hadn't taken those shots to the head and i don't mean alcohol.......led
-
Settings need to be set at 5_0 and 8_0 for wins and bills to go to credit meter.
-
Pressing the cash/credit button might also do it.
