Title: S2000 Finally Working But Won't Play
Post by: Pinkodoc6420 on May 21, 2022, 03:12:16 PM
 :banghead:
I posted about the all too common battery issue, I ordered and replaced the battery which brought the machine back to life. Now I can put money in it and the screen shows everything correctly, the screen shows Play 75 Credits (it's a 2ยข machine) so I put 8$ in it, the spin and max bet buttons flash, but pushing them does nothing. Cannot for the life of me get the game to actually play. I took a short video showing this, anyone able to help!?

Buttons should not be blinking.  Turn machine off and reseat the MPU and boot it back up.  Maybe check for a bent pin going to backplane while you have it out.

Looks like only some of the buttons are blinking the standard door io card is not working properly. The one on the 45 degree angle.

Check all of the door I/O related connections and verify that you do not have a hot button wire (red) grounding out underneath the button panel.

How do I do the reset?

What would you suggest I do about that? All the buttons register when doing the I/O input test...

I looked at everything as best I could but I'll go back over it again tomorrow

Reseat....he means to physically pull out the MPU board, visually inspect the all the pins for straightness, then manually re-install the MPU fully back onto the pins.

Did that a few times no, no luck. I swapped the two I/o boards around with no luck and now I have a ten pin I/o card not found error. Thinking I might need to order a replacement for the one at a 45 degree angle?

10 button I/O not found usually means you did not plug them back in correctly. Are both cards the same? If so swap the two top connectors.
