Title: IGT S+ Barcrest Pinball - 2 credit vs 3 credit setting for top box?
Post by: TNTTRX on October 31, 2022, 11:51:44 AM
Hi all,

I recently picked up an S+ Pinball.  The game works great but I want to get it to 100%.

When I got it the bottom glass was a 3-credit version, and the top glass was a 2-credit version (1 shot or 4 shots).  I had a 3-credit top glass from an S2000 Pinball which I put in.

The game is a 3-credit game and when playing it gives 1 shot for 1 credit, 2 shots for 2 credits, and 5 shots for 3 credits.

The top had all sorts of burned out bulbs and the bulbs for the "1 credit - 1 shot" were all pulled out, probably because the guy had the wrong glass and it looked bad.  I replaced all the bulbs but the part for the "1 credit - 1 shot" do not light up unless I use the test button.  Also when playing, if you get a bonus on 1 credit, the "2 credit - 2 shot" box lights up.

So I'm thinking something in the top box area thinks the game is a 2-credit for the light bulb power.  When playing it gives the correct number for shots for each credit bet, but it's just bugging me that the lights aren't displaying correctly.

This is my first S+ game and everything is a little foreign to me.  I see a bunch of dip switches and things behind the topbox power supply.  Is there a setting for which version (2 credit vs 3 credit) somewhere on there?

Thanks!
