Title: C10 error

I have this progressive slot with 88FF error. I replaced the battery on the mpu board and did a complete clear. The 88FF did not go away and therefore I wasn’t able to play the machine. After several days of tinkering with it I gave up. Long story made short..since then the machine has been unplugged for several months. Could the battery on the controller merely need to be recharged by leaving the slot on and code 88FF go away or could the 88FF code be for that battery on the controller box and I need to replace that battery?
In addition, now that I’ve plugged the machine back up I now have a 2nd code of C10. I know that it was running Proslot Version 2.0 if that helps any.
The slot will not go any further than the message of “proslot verison 2.0” opening statement.. Any help would be appreciated.

The battery does not recharge, when it is dead it is time to replace it.
