Hi All, I've been having intermittent sound problems on a King Cash using a 1270 board with legacy adapter and sound simm with DSPL002 bridge. It started out that the enhanced sounds would sometimes be there and sometimes not when I turned the game on and progressed to sound simm file error over a short period of time. I tried all the normal stuff such as cleaning and reseating the simm, checking eprom seating, etc and things would only get better maybe till the next time I turned the game on. Today I replaced the DSPL chip after I couldn't get it to work at all and all sound settings work great. It appears that the DSPL chip broke down and failed over time. As a side note, this problem seems to have originated with the cmos battery taking a crap on me and screwing around with "not exact" replacements over a couple months till I got a batch of 2354's. Maybe a coincidence, maybe not. Hope this helps someone...
