Title: IGT Bill Validator Comm Error

Good day,
I need some help.
I have an IGT 044 Davinci Diamonds that has a bill val comm error.

I have done the following:

Swapped the BV out

Changed the backplane.

Can someone tell me what else would cause this error.

I am going to swap the MPU board and see. BUt i could use some help.

It could be caused by any Netplex device plugged into the machine.  The BV, touchscreen, and printer are all netplex devices.  Try disconnecting the printer and see if it clears the error.  Sometimes the printer ribbon cables get damaged sliding the printer in and out.  Also make sure the firmware in your bill validator is correct.  Should be ID024.  What is the history behind the error?  Was the machine working at one time?
