IGT Triple Diamond Deluxe Middle Reel Pay line Issues

 :agreepost:  I have a issue with the middle reel being I want to say out of sync, but it's more of out of position.  When the reels go and stop, the middle one runs just fine, but symbols that are paying out arn't the ones on the pay line, they are the one's below the pay line.  I tried turning the machine off and just manually adjusting the wheel by spinning it, but alas that doesn't work. Any help would be appreciated.

"Reel strips have small notches cut in them at the bottom. There is also a matching notch on each reel basket. The notches on both the reel strips and the reel baskets must be installed so that their notches are aligned together in the correct positions in their reel baskets."

Your 2nd reel strip has most probably slid out of it's notch and needs moved back into it.

You can try to slide the strip back up and get it in the notch but may need to loosen the strip from the top some to get enough slack to slide it back up and in the notch on each side about and inch from the bottom of the strip.

Start at the bottom of the strips where the two notches and numbers are.
There's small plastic nibs inside the reel basket edges that go into the reel strip notches.

Also check that the center Reel Basket does not have the letters ST on the side of it.
This would indicate that its a SLANT TOP basket.

Functionally/electrically they are the same but on Slant machine they reel glass is at an angle so the aforementioned knotch is in the wrong place for use with an upright.
This is not to say that they can't be used - you just have to align the reel strip differently.

So after reseating the strips per the above if the strip still seems off by one or two symbols then this is the likely cause.

The reel looks correct for an upright machine. Remove the reel strip and reseat. Its pretty easy to just be careful and feel for the notch to lineup/start the strip.

Have you tried the reel test yet to see if they all go to home position? I've had one before where at some point a previous owner pulled the cage off and put it on 180.

The reel test isn’t working correctly for me.  I have to push it 11 times instead of the 9 to get the 4 to show.  Turning the key 4 times also did nothing.

It should line up to the jackpot. 3 triple diamonds.  It still is not in the notch.

If you press the spin button again it should line up to 2nd highest award. (trip diamond)-(trip diamond)-(red7)

Why haven't you fix it yet?  :Scratch-Head:

Pull the reel harness Molex connector out from the bottom of the reel under the reel shelf.
Slide out the reel.
Take off the reel strip and put it on correctly.
Then slide the reel back on the shelf.
Plug back in the reel harness Molex connector.
