This is the bulb. Good luck finding it. the barcrest box was made up from a bunch of British parts.

Roz, the one I have has LED's in it. I bought it from Kenmar in NJ

Roz, the S+ Barcrest Top Box for the Top Dollar takes a 73 bulb. They are easy to find, you can get them at auto parts stores. If you can't find ant I have quite a bit.

A "73" lamp is 14v and .8A. I don't think you'll get the result you're after. That's just my take.
-
I sold mine a few years ago and can't remember if it used 73 or 86 bulbs. Do anyone have the voltage specs on the 86?
-
My Top Dollar, Jewel in the Crown and Little Devil top light box all have 73s in them for the last 4 years. Boulderdash, Take your Pick and Hot Rod top light boxes take 74s. All the top light boxes are different, for instance Pinball uses 161s.
The 86 goes in the IGT display and the WMS buttons. Doesn't work in the top light boxes.

The "86" is a 6.3v @ .2amp

Thanks Dale, I don't have any more S+ anything, but still have a bunch of each bulb. Forgot what they were for, specifically.
-
Thanks Lindam, you replied while I was replying to Dale

Great info! Our Fire & Fortune we used 86s. On our Top Dollar, the 73s are too small (mini wedge), but the 161s sound like the ticket!! Excellent! Thanks a million! :hail: :hail:

Roz,
The specs. on the 161 are also different than what is called for.
T-31/4 Type - 14.0V .19A
-
Roz,
If you open the PDF in my 1st post you'll see the exact specs. for the lamp.
I know I'm the first one to use a lamp that is a close match and easy to get for my needs, but it looks to me that the Barcrest uses a bunch of lamps and if the lamps you choose have a much higher mAmp draw you could have a power supply issue.

Roz,
The 161s for the Top Dollar top box are too large. I am positive that the 73 miniatures are the correct one. We are talking the S+ Barcrest, right? I have owned this machine for years and that is what it came out of the Casino with and I have replaced the burnt out ones with. The TAKE and TRY AGAIN buttons are 555s. Those are the only other bulbs used in that box.
-
When I had an s+ Barcrest the bulbs were #73 in the top. #555 was in the take or try again button. If it is the s-2000 Barcrest that may use a different # bulb
-
Ok, let me go take another look at it then. We were so happy when we seen someone had taken EVERY SINGLE bulb out of the top box for us! :rotfl:
-
If it's an S2000 then 95% of the lights are LED chips and anything unpluggable (is that a word) will likely be Tivoli bulbs
-
Here's a pic of a 73 and 161 in the socket....socket is the bigger one, T-3-1/4 wedge, not the T-1-3/4...
Sorry, pics are upside down, but you get the idea! :rotfl:
