Title: E1000 reel spin
Post by: newkid3 on July 14, 2016, 12:27:05 AM
Hello all, i have a E1000 machine that i have everything working now except every so often the 3rd reel will not spin and then it gives me an error. I clear the error and might play 1 or 10 rounds and then the 3rd reel will not spin again. Is there an adjustment i can make that will correct this or does anyone know what i need to do to fix it. Thanks

Pull your reel assembly out. Remove the reel basket out. There is 2 Black colored cross shafts in the reel assembly which has all the linkage attached to it. Those 2 Black cross shafts need to spin freely by finger. If not the linkage will not work properly and cause issues. Lube all the shafts and linkage so that everything moves freely. Also what error code number is on the display?

43 is error code for third reel. You either have sticky linkage , reel reader out of adjustment or a failing reader. Do the lubrication to the reel assembly first to see if your issue is resolved.

Yeah i realized the 1 000 is the last play. The reel does not spin is when it gives me the error code.
Never when it does spin. So i would not think it is the reader. It has to be mechanical right. If it spins i never get an error.

Most likely mechanical issue due to OLD stiff grease in the linkage.

I see the 2 black cross shafts. One is small and the other is a little bigger.i can get the small one to turn it needs to be cleaned and lubed. Should the bigger black one turn also by its self. The things that are on it turn back and forth but the shaft itself i have not been able to turn. Thanks

Yes both of those shafts have to spin freely in order for the machine to work properly. The linkage and arms mounted on both those shafts should not move when you spin the black shafts. The black shafts need to spin freely with little resistance.

There is also a shaft on the back of the reels that has spacers between the linkages. That needs to be kept oiled too. Make sure the small rollers and the spring loaded stop assemblies move freely on the top of the three vertical levers.
