Title: slant top door open B
Post by: hotlsot on January 12, 2017, 10:00:43 AM
I have a slant game king running on a 3902 with a door open B. With the top door open I get the usual door open MB. When I close the top I still have the door open MB. Here is the part I don't understand, when I take my little screwdriver and depress the leaf switch on the validator door the screen shows door open B, so it's seeing the switch on the bill door, but still shows that switch as open. Any ideas?
thanks
jeff

slant tops have a few more switches in the loop for the door optics,  there is one for the top unit, as well as the bill unit and for the main door and I believe one for the bottom door.  you should bypass them all except for the main door, the are usually identified by a set of green and green/blue tracer wires per switch.   they are usually located as part of the latching or locking mech.

hope this helps

I've tied off the switch up top, the validator switch, the front panel switch and the main door switch. same result, the machine does not see the bill door. The optics are working, when I close the lid it goes from door open MB to door open B.The drop door switch was already jumpered. I've swapped the board, both I/O and the backplane. Did those crazy bastards at IGT hide a switch somewhere on the machine?

there is a switch on the left side of the bill unit housing, don't get this confused with the cash can switch, this is actually for the metal cabinet door.  you will see the wiring for it on the right side of the main cabinet. there were also some switches for the coin cup tray as well.

You sir are a genius and my new favorite person. I did miss one switch that is actuated by the cam on the lock. I found the one actuated by closing the bill door but missed the one on the inside actuated by the lock cam. Thank you for your help.
