Title: no sound

have a 1270 board  with  no sound need a idea where to look ?  machine is good try other boards they all worked   ,also have 1 1270 were  reels spin  backwards

If you're using a legacy adapter make sure there is a DSPL chip installed in the socket near the simm card socket

Different legacy adapter maybe? If other boards work and that one doesn't, just may be a bad MPU

that's what I,m thinking bad  mpu  but hoping someone might know what to check

Try a different legacy adapter and chipset to eliminate that as the issue
