I was playing around with changing the denomination on an S2000 machine. It was a $.25/2 coin. Changed it to $10/2 coin, played a few games and then changed it to a $1/2 coin. Put a ticket it (TITO) and now the counters on the bottom right side are spinning out of control. Jackpot, Games played, Cancled Credits and Drop.
What did I do and how do I get them to stop? Can I just unplug the power to them?
Thanks,
Dave

Cancled credits stopped. I am guessing it just needs to catch up to the jackpot it hit while I was playing $10/2 coin? I will let it run overnight and see if they all stop.

To bypass hard meters unplug them and jump the last two wires, black/orange wire & brown/grey wire together.

So remove the contacts of the black/orange wire and the brown/grey wire from the strip connector and just tie them together? I am guessing they don't go back into the connector, becuse they are tied/shorted together? Put some shrink tubing on them or wrap them with electrical tape?

Thanks.
They stopped sometime last night. They are annoying. I probably will do the jumper.
Thanks

The reason the counters went crazy is your accounting denomination is probably .01 and you changed the coin value to $10.00 so the counters are still counting in pennies.
You get the idea. Easiest way is to just do the counter bypass mod. You could use a clear chip and change the accounting value to $10 to slow the counters but then if you ever wanted to go back down to say $1 You would have to again clear it and change the accounting denomination to $1. That is why we recommend that the accounting denomination is set at .01 that way you can change the coin denomination to anything you want with just a key operation.

I am not clear on how to jumper this. I tried by jumping the wires 9 & 10 together and still getting counter operating. I tried putting a jumper in where contacts go, same result. Do they need to be jumped while still in the connector as in picture 2? Link did not clarify it for me.
Thanks

Unplug the meters and just jump the pins on the connector. Do not plug meters back in.

Now its clear. I did not know I was not supposed to plug the counter back in. That made it work.
Thanks.
