Hello Gang,
Been a while since I have been here at NLG...So long that my username wasn't found :applause: .
Anyway, I have a Treasure Tunnel with a 1 reel spin error. The error is at startup. I've moved the ribbon cables to the other reels and the error remains on reel 1. I have a feeling that I know what your answer is going to be, but I'm open to suggestions on what to look for.
If it's the main board, can I repair it and what should I be looking at? If I should replace it, can anyone tell me where I might find one?

OK... Maybe this update will jog a response.
I have replaced the main board with an NOS board and swapped out the IC's and now I get a reel spin error on reel 3. Before I replace anything else, can anyone give me any guidance?

Your first post said the problem was with reel #1. The most recent post says the problem is with reel #3 ??
Have you proved that the problem is not with one of your reel assemblies?

Thanks for the reply. Before replacing the board, I moved the ribbon cable around and the error always said reel 1 so I physically moved reel 1 to reel 2 position and the error still said reel 1.
Now that I've replaced the board, the error is reel 3 and doesn't change when I move the cable.
Any guidance would be appreciated.

Do the cables that run from the reels go directly to the main board, or do the cables connect to a backplane/interconnect board that the mpu is also plugged into?
-
One ribbon cable split to the 3 reels and terminate at the main board.

The replacement mpu board, are you sure it is a good one? Maybe it has a problem too, with reel #3 (and the original mpu board has problem with reel #1) ??

Well I guess that's a possibility. It is a New Old Stock board though.
