Title: Wms 550 bb1 no signal
Post by: Dreemeis on March 05, 2018, 08:04:28 AM
When i remove cpu board and install my multi denomination ram clear chip, and re seat the cpu board, i get a " no signal" error on my monitor... Any ideas?

Also, a couple machines made the "bong" sound but nothing appeared on the monitor at all.....

And can the game chip sets be mixed and matched before a ram clear?

Whenever I did a clear, I had all the correct software installed on the mpu board.  I never did try to do it any other way (why?).  If you get no signal with the clear chip, but get a signal with the game's XU3, then I would see about getting another clear chip to try.  As far as nothing appearing on the monitor, I would connect a computer monitor to the vga output of the mpu to rule out any monitor issues.  If you just got these, odds are your monitors are bad, these machines are close to 20 years old by now.
