Title: Upper Box Mod 15" to 20" LCD

I searched and couldnt find anything. What is involved in modifying the upper box on a S9000 to utilize the larger, 20 inch monitor? There seems to be quite a bit more kits available for the 20 inch (later) model on the market.

Please tell me if its a crazy idea too...I haven't seen anything regarding doing this - It doesnt seem like it would be that crazy of an idea...There are lots of touchscreen monitors out there.

You are better off just buying the whole boxtop with monitor from someone parting an s9000 elite.  I don't think any of the screws line up for the conversion and would be a total pain in the butt.

That makes sense...just the parts would likely cost more than an assembled unit being parted out...Just the monitor by itself would likely be 200+ dollars.


Any idea what a fair price would be for a top unit?

What is fair depends on where you are and the availability of the parts.
