Title: Bally Alpha, can't get the MEI Cashflow bill acceptor to work

Today I tried to set up a game I got awhile back, did a clear and set up everything in the menu, including the Mars selection for Bill acceptor. Game boots up fine and the ready to accept bills light comes on at the bill acceptor entrance but it will not take a bill in. I open the door to check the MEI Cashflow bill acceptor and all 3 LEDs are on steady. Is there a step I possibly missed setting this machine up?

Only the green light should be on.  If all 3 are steady, the validator is not working properly.

David,  I sent you a chart the other day for the mei status lights-Don't know if you got it?.  Make sure you have a SC6607  And you may have a faulty interface card-Slides in on the black track behind the bv head and has toggle tangs hanging from bottom.  You must remove the cash can to inspect/change this card or you will damage the tangs.   It's good to clean the gold wafer contacts with a pencil eraser also.  Verify the wiring is correct using another machine with a mei set-up.  Hope this helps-Tried to call earlier.  B.
