Title: e-serie 1000/2000
Post by: filounet on June 03, 2018, 04:45:47 AM
Hi,

I would like to know if I can remove the coil to put a coin comparator in the place which is bigger and if so what should I do present threads?
In addition, is it possible to make an e-serie for free without putting a token to play?
Thanks for your help
Philippe

Are you unable to find a coin mech or a coin comparitor that is the correct size to fit in the machine?

About the relay coil that you are considering removing- is it the coin diverter relay or the coin lockout relay? If coin diverter relay then you can probably remove it and force all coins to go to hopper. As long as a hopper getting full of coins won't be likely to happen.

If it is coin lockout I think it can be removed without causing a problem, people often disconnect them due to the noise they make.

Since this is an older machine and the operation is simpler you might be able to add a freeplay switch.

I think it’s possible to install a comparitor. You need to remove the scavenger coil assembly, then would need to figure out a power supply and wiring to operate the comparitor and rake. As for a free play I would think you would have to locate a way install a button with a switch like the coin switch, normally open and normally closed sides with a place for the common wire. Your coin switch works when pushed down and on the return stroke.
