hello all,
In my search for a few slots to buy I came across this one. Anyone familiar or have played it before? Apparently it has a 4th bonus wheel...
-
Very nice machine. It has the Haywire feature. If the price is right I would buy it.

What do you think a good price would be in California ?
-
Not sure, Have no idea what the prices are in Cal. I'm nowhere near you. Someone out your way will chime in.

It's a rare game, so woking well I would think $600-800. Maybe a bit higher from a dealer

Thanks. Does rare mean collectible or unwanted?

Collectible

Collectible
Thanks. Is there a resource that states what machines are rare, collectible, etc? There has got to be a ton of different game themes.
-
Yeah, check on NLG, those guys know

Thanks. Sorry though I don’t know what you mean I thought this site was an NLG?

For what it's worth I had boat loads of those 10 years plus ago and every theme in the series (They made many diff. themes in the 4 reel bonus) and they were collectible back then. 800 would be a a good fair price. The biggest thing is the 4th reel as it's a diff. set up than standard and has led's on a board around it etc. They are fun but after a while can get boring-at least to me that was the case.

I love those 4th reel bonus machines. I have two of them but the Super Spin Sizzling 7 is one I wanted to add to my collection but could never find. I say it's easily worth $800 in good condition but be sure the reel strips are in good shape. I doubt if you can find replacements.

I was being a smart ass, sorry. You won't find a better place than right here for info, hands down the best group in the world

This theme is known to have water based ink reel strips .. they fade .. they peel .. aren't washable.
So be careful because finding a decent set of reel strips will hard to find.

Darn. I don’t want to get an inferior product. Even if they are ok now will it just not last?

They fade from the reel glass light, sun light and reel light. Repros are available through places like sunkist printing. I wouldn't turn it down because the reel strips might fade in the future, just protect yourself

Thank you for that resource I emailed them. So if under closer inspection they are fading just adjust price? or what other ways are you saying to protect myself?
Thank you for your help.

Frankly, I wouldn't even worry about it. These things were designed for 24x7x365 usage. The amount of fade they will undergo in home game room use is so negligible as to be pointless fretting about it. If you're really concerned, find a spare set and put them away between cardboard in a file drawer or something. The machine will probably outlast you, particularly if it's going into a basement game room with arcade-level lighting. If you're putting it in a sunny room with direct exposure, I'd reconsider my choice, as all materials will fade in those conditions - inks, paints etc.

Perfect. Thank you. I hope to pick it up this week. Driving a long ways to get it.

You can up grade your game lights bulbs from the tube fluorescent bulbs to LCD to keep those strips from any further fading. A set of 3 bulbs runs around $30 plus shipping and very easy to install and up grade the games lighting.

I believe Amechanic meant LED not LCD. You can also replace the button and backlit bulbs with LED bulbs. Also a LED panel for behind the denom insert.

You are correct.. I usually proof read my posts, but I missed this one.. LED Bulbs are an option over the florescent tubes, plus it's getting harder to find these smaller tubes and getting more costly too..

Well....I picked it up for $525 and couldn't be happier. This machine was flawless with upgraded bill validator as well. Totally worth it. Oh and for the concerns about faded strips they were in perfect condition. I think they too may have been upgraded. This machine has it all...Nudge and Haywire with a bonus wheel. It is going to be my favorite for a while.
thanks all...

That's what really matters. It's ok to pay a premium for something you really want, especially when it's a machine not commonly available that is a lot of fun to play. And I'm not sure you overpaid, considering what machine this is.
