Title: IGT S2000 Free Games Not Going into Key Chip Config after Clear/Key/SB Process

Hey all,


I picked up an IGT S2000 Triple Double Diamond Free Games 20-line and it needed to re-key it to enable the multi-denom panel.


I've repeated this process many times and it works on all my other S2000's, so not sure what's up:


1) Remove SB chip, replace with IVC00097 CLEAR Chip
2) Insert board, power on - wait for 2 green lights. This one has a solid amber under the green lights after 10 seconds (my others don't)
3) Pull board, replace 97 CLEAR chip with KEY00045 Key Chip (Note: I tried a KEY17 and it doesn't like it, flashing red light)
4) Insert board, power on - wait for 2 green lights (comes up in seconds)
5) Pull board, replace KEY00045 with SB chip
6) Insert board, power on
7) After memory check, loud alarm - turn key 3-4 times until it tells me to hold in test button for 2-3 seconds
8) Hold test button in
9) Says close door, closed door
10) Runs its tests and then Call Attendant. Open door, loud alarm again, turn key 3 times
11) It runs through its tests again, resets the reels


HOWEVER, at this point, I'm expecting it to go into KEY CONFIG, but it goes straight to "DOOR CLOSURE M / MACHINE MISMATCH". I can press the test switch and change simple things like denom, but nothing else that is needed (Token, etc.)


Any ideas why this won't go straight into KEY CHIP CONFIG after step #11 like my other S2000's?

You need a RBK-1 clear. I believe that's needed in all the s2k machines that have the free games. Try bettor slots website see if he has them.

that game is the same as mine...it has an R-board in it due to the 20 line, not free games...do not use normal 96 clear chip...use the rbk0001 clear chip...install it in the boot socket


its been a while since ive cleared mine, but you will use the cash out and change buttons to clear the ram

Thanks Steve - I appreciate the info. So, install it in the boot socket - what should be in the SB socket at the time?
