Title: SPC2 Disable error
Post by: Don Indallas on October 07, 2018, 10:25:29 AM
I have a mk6 that when powered up, will have an error of "SPC2 Disable  Clear SPC2 Memory"  in order to clear this, I need to open the main door and logic door, go into the Operator setup, select Game Machine options, scroll down to Device Driver Options, and go to the printer setting there.  I cycle the printer option from Seiko through the other options and back to Seiko again.  I back up one screen to the Game Machine Options page, and hit the Save Machine Options.  Then I can close all doors and exit the menu, and the machine operates normally (until it repeats this on the next boot up).

Any suggestions on how to fix this???

Check your batteries.
Or just replace them all.

I'll give the battery change a shot.  Thanks for the suggestion.

But remember you'll need to setup the machine again.
So have your set chips ready.

Thanks for the heads-up on setting the machine up again.  I will need to allow more time for this.  It may take me a couple of days to get this done now, but I'm looking forward to getting it done!

I replaced the CR 2032 button cell battery on the SPC board, rebooted the machine, cleared the error in the menu options, and the problem is solved.  I didn't need to reset anything else.  Thanks for the help on this.
