Hello,
It seems that https://www.theslotking.com/ (https://www.theslotking.com/) has what I am searching for in the Europe. As they have their own solution, which is not Ceronix, I would be thankful if there is someone who could share the experience with their LCD solution. Please let me know if you know someone who knows someone who has actually bought their solution and share some experience. As the warranty is only 1 month, it is kind of tricky to buy 500 euro thing, with little info that I have found so far. Thanks.

Hello,It seems that TheSlotKing has what I am searching for and they are the only ones in Europe to provide CRT replacement LCD replacement kit for PE+. They have their own solution, which is not Ceronix, I would be thankful if there is someone who could share the experience with TheSlotKing LCD solution. Please let me know if you know someone who knows someone who has actually bought their solution and share some experience. As the warranty is only 1 month, it is kind of tricky to buy ~500 euro thing, with so little info that I have found so far.

Wow only a month warranty on a new LCD Monitor. That horrible.

You might send the company a note saying you are looking to buy 162 of these for your client, and have concerns over the one month warranty and are looking for reference customers.
a. The 162 number is not a round number so it sounds credible.
b. The volume should get their attention and they will probably comment on their warranty.
c. You could always ask that they send you a sample at no charge which you can then send back or pay for.
d. You can just pay for your sample unit and tell them your client decided to go for the Ceronix.
e. If there is an add on board that manages the video processing.it would be good to get a few good pictures of the board and components.
- The PE+ uses inverse video and many here have been struggling to build their own LCD solution and the inverse video has been a major stumbling block.

Good plan jay, I think thats the best way to handle it honestly. Because lets be blunt here, 1 month warranty on a 500 euro LCD is CRAP! Testing the memory banks and maybe it wasn't them but I remember not long before the old forums went away some mysterious posts and pics of PE+ with LCD actually working in one. Kinda like a sales teaser and I remember their English not being very good either, maybe they finally got em produced and it's them? Was many years ago WAY before Ceronix offered any kinda LCD. Triggered my curiosity

I bought two of their CGA to VGA conversion boards to attempt to "do it myself" installing my own VGA/LCD screen in my PE+ machines. Their conversion board does not change the scan rate, so you still need a monitor that can handle a 15khz refresh rate. The LCD monitor they are using for their solution does support 15khz, which is rare to find.
Here's the "bad" about their solution: the chip in the conversion board they're using limits the color palette to 8 colors, instead of the 256 colors that the PE+ supports. As such, it will basically group similar colors together. It's "good enough" for the average user, especially for video poker, and if I hadn't said anything here you might not have noticed it, but it does not allow for the full spectrum of colors that the PE+ would generate on a CRT monitor, or with a more accurate conversion for VGA.
Take a look at the attached pictures. The top one (the photo of the Dell monitor) is with the use of their conversion board. It's certainly "good enough" for playing, but look closely at the Deuces Wild logo, and you'll see how the colors are limited and it picks whatever is closest to its 8-color palette to paint the image, rather than in the other pictures how more colors are used to create a more gentle gradient.
If that doesn't bother you (and for average home use, it probably won't), I don't have any objections to the quality of the product they're selling.

It wasn't disclosed when I bought it, but as I mentioned above their conversion board does not change the refresh rate of the signal (it's still 15khz), so it did not work with any VGA monitor I had. With the addition of a Gonbes GBS-8200 board, it then worked on a modern VGA LCD monitor, as shown in the top picture of my earlier post.
I was charged US $65 for each conversion board, plus FedEx shipping from Belgium, which wasn't cheap. It's not a perfect solution, but it works.

Okay, thanks a lot for the info everyone. I will search for ceronix for some more and if no luck from Europe, then will order TheSlotKing solution.
