Title: 3100 code flashing
Post by: jchaney0507 on January 03, 2019, 07:05:11 PM
I have a times  ten S+ machine and i am getting the 3100 code flashing after a ram clear.  I just purchased machine with a 61 code.  After a few Diag attempts I was left to do a ram clear.  The clear went smooth but now I get the 3100 code after using a 15 chip to fix bill validator.  ( the bill validator just constantly clicks but never turns like accepting money). The code will flash 3100, then a 1 and then back again.  The only other bit of info I can give is the machines optic sensors have been cut out and the wires on the door ties together and the machine tied together. I have checked the hooper to see if I can see any physical problems but for the most part this machine is very clean.  Thanks in advance for the help.

You cannot just short together the door optics wires on an S+.  I would recommend buying a set of working S+ door optics and installing them on your machine.

Plugging in that white Molex connector with the black cover on it's wiring that's hanging down next to the bill acceptor would help too.
It goes right in the front-most white socket on the left side of the bill acceptor.
Do some reading in the S+ forums here on NLG to familiarize yourself on how to use the SET chip to enable the bill acceptor.

However, I must pre-warn you that these older bill acceptors may only accept older bills.
They haven't really been upgraded a whole lot as these machines have faded out from the casinos.
With that said, quarters or nickels are fun to use! :)

The DBV 200 can be programmed to take the new $20's and old $100's.

The optics make sense.  I will look for those.  The connector on bill acceptor was disconnected to make it stop clicking during the reset procedure.

Okay...I better retire Badbaud! Lol
That is amazing...I've been away for awhile...
I didn't even know the guys found a way to update those ol' DBV's?
I better catch up on some reading!
