Title: Unbending slot machine door latches?

Hi do you unbend slot machine door latches that appear to be bent? This is an IGT slot machine from the 80’s :)

Does the door close properly? I’d leave the latch alone unless you’re getting Door Open errors.

There’s a crack between the cabinet and door and I get a lot of door open error messages:

A little gap when the door is closed is natural, but the error messages can be tiring. Straightening out that latch may help or you might be able to adjust your door switch a bit. Alternatively, if you’re up to the challenge you could bypass the switch and eliminate the errors altogether.

Cresent wrench or channel locks, whatever works

Or you can take the latch completely off, lay it on a concrete floor (like in your garage), and hammer it flat.
