Title: Wires have come out of connector on board behind the hopper.
Post by: Cleo5 on January 12, 2019, 04:23:57 PM
Hi All,

I am cleaning up an older S+. I noticed two wires (Orange and White) on the board sitting face up in front of the MPU and behind the hopper on the right side are not connected. I'm not sure of the order to plug the wires back into the connector or if they are needed? I have attached a pic. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Is the machine working? Many times there are wires left over from player tracking or casino security not needed for home use.

It is sort of working but I'm working to resolve a code 12 issue. Replacing the battery tonight. I don't think it has sound. It has been in storage for a few years but was working before storage. I'll know more when I replace the battery I guess.

Thanks for the reply!

As long as it works, just tape them so they don't ground out.

Welcome to NLG! The sound shouldn't be affected by a couple of wires like those. Does it have a bell up in the cabinet?

Thanks! Traced the wires.....they are for the bell.

I seemed to remember my Triple Diamond's bell having an orange wire. I'm going to mark this solved. If you have trouble with the 12 error, or anything else, start a new post and we'll go from there. Glad you got it figured out.
