Title: Dongle
Post by: Quicksilver on January 18, 2019, 11:09:23 AM
I believe that my slot machine does not have a dongle option installed.  First, how would I determine if my slot machine has that option already installed.  If it doesn't how hard is to add that option to my slot machine.  Are there any videos available that show that installation?

I have BB2 slot machine with OLED buttons.  (background)

You can install the dongle on any of the USB ports that's on the MPU.  The little dongle "card" is used in casino's because the mpu is sealed up by the gaming comission, so it's just easier for it to reside inside the MPU.  It is not a necessary add-on.  You can tell if you have it by looking between the hard drive and the the cf card slots, if there's a little board that has a usb port on it, you have the usb dongle insert, if you just see a pair of 10 pin headers, then you don't (the dongle will use one of those).
