Title: coin in pulse error
Post by: biscuitttt on January 18, 2019, 10:27:42 PM
I have a sigma sg300 , and i get coin in pulse error when adding coins. I have tried 4 different coin comparitors one of them was new, i clean the optics in the comparitor but no luck, could there be something other than the comparitor causing this error

Greetings,

I am having the same problem on a Sigma SG-50B. I am suspecting the coin optics with the "N" on it. I get about 80% to feed correctly, but the others that give me the alarm cause me to have to use the key and reset the error. I have cleaned the optics as the book says and still have this problem. I have the sensitivity set very loose on the CC, but still get these errors. Checked all the plugs and disconnected-reconnected them, but still have the error.

Maybe some one else has seen this problem and can help us out.

I never got mines to work with the coin comparitor  , i tried different optics and comparitors with no luck,  I have changed harness and boards, I still feel like its something in the settings. but game is functional, I just add credits   with the BV

My Sigma tester has 2 options for coin in, "coin pulse" and "coin switch".
There must be an option on the board to select between the two.

I finally got mine fixed. It appears that the CC-16 looks at the target coin and has a window that the sensitivity pot needs to be set into that window. Too high and it alarms. Too low and it alarms. Just have to listen very closely and you can hear the click at both ends. I think that's how I made it work. Just start at the center of the range and try a few degrees up or down and see if that fixes it. I also plugged and unplugged all the cables that went from the CC-16 and optics to the Distribution PCB on the door.
