Title: A new machine, a similar problem.
Post by: Samm329 on January 20, 2019, 05:22:47 PM
So after cleaning the ultimate diamonds and 7 bally alpha the problem was that anytime within an hour the top box would start spinning backwards and would not stop, producing no error and the game would still play...

So I moved on to the Reel Warriors a 2010 alpha elite s9e. I got it up and running, but the same problem is present... this one throws the error code top box disconnected, then the top box boots up starts it calibration and then the lights light up, the machine recognizes the top box and then after 3 seconds like clockwork it starts all over again. Any suggestions?

Did you try replacing the power supplies?

I changed out the power supplies with ones from a machine working fine, and the problem still persisted.

No I didn’t replace those ones, actually never even thought of them. Ill pull it and see if there is any blushing, I can go pull another alpha mpu from another machine and give it a whirl tomorrow.

Thanks

Yeah, use one that is known to work.  Anytime I see really weird behavior, as you point out in your posts, I find most of the time to be power issues.
