Title: WMS BB2 Oled Button Deck
Post by: sbsgroup on January 22, 2019, 12:07:20 PM
Is it practical to change out oleds on a panel that most work, or just find one that all work.  Also how hard are buttons to change?  What is the process for changing them

I know it depends if you have splash or not. Chime in if I’m wrong guys, but, I believe splash panel buttons have parts that are soldered on to the board and can’t be changed.

Either panel, you can change buttons, they are held into place by a pair of 10 pin connectors (friction).  I usually scavange buttons from decks that have several bad buttons.  It is an ongoing process because these oled buttons go from bright to dim really quickly.  I had a deck that was good for a year, then all of a sudden 2 buttons went dim quickly in what seemed to be a 2 week period.  It really sucks.

Can you purchase the buttons/screens separately?  If so where?
