When you have 61-1 showing close the door and turn the jackpot key and wait.

With the 61-1 press and hold the white button until you hear a ding (about 5 seconds).
Close the door. No need for the jackpot key.

See Ricks FAQs on the home page as it pertains to the game change section.

Depends on the SP used.

As others have said, after 61-1, you need to close and fully latch the door, then turn the jackpot reset key once.

If absolutely nothing happens after one turn of the reset key, and the 61-1 remains on the screen (without ever disappearing), the machine is not seeing the main door as closed.  Ensure that the bill validator stacker door ("cash can door") is closed and latched if you have one.  If you still cannot get the machine to budge from 61-1, you might have bad door optics, or less likely the optics may be far out of alignment.

If the 61-1 disappears and then returns to 61, that's a different issue.
