Title: Bally 6000 payouts don’t match the feature glass?
Post by: Amechanic on March 08, 2019, 01:37:43 PM
I picked up my first Bally 6000, but after doing the battery swap and ram clear I have a new issue that has me stumped 🤔.. The game is a Double Dragon Dollar Machine. The bill acceptor works and gives me one credit per dollar played. My problem is when I hit a winning combination, if the payout glass says I should receive 10 credits I get paid 5, only 1/2 that I should. The manual is confusing to me, pic is of my current switch setting on SW2 & SW3.. What the heck are Market Codes??

Do you know if it was paying out correct before the battery swap?

I don't think any jumper or switch will change payout. The Bally gurus will correct me if I am wrong. I am dealing with a similar issue on a s6000 myself. My game eproms do not match my reels/glass.

Check for a SMI # on your reels, there should be a tag on the reel.
Check if your game eproms might also have that #.

I attached a pic of my reel and the SMI # I need for my cabinet to payout correct. Are your reels/eproms marked? Do they match?

I believe market code would be your Jurisdiction setting...

I bought this 6000 with the Sigma Free-N-Easy Treasure Wheel last month from a couple about 20 miles from me that use to play them till they died. This 6000 had a dead battery and the lights were flashing when I turned it in at there house. I already know that the SMI number on the reel tag doesn’t match the chip numbers, but you don’t know if it had a game changed. I’m going to have to loosen the strips ends and check those numbers next I guess. I just wasn’t sure being this is my first 6000. It’s not like it’s paying out we’re there are no symbol. Every win even the large 400+ winning was exactly 1/2 of what it should have been??

I was also told to remove the reel strips to check the numbers. I found that if i shined a light where the reel strips met i was able to make out the strip #s without taking them apart...

What SMI #s are on your eproms and what SMI #s do your reels call for?

In my case I get small wins at pays that do not make sense, it should pay 10 but pays 4. After that I get payouts for one 7 and three 7's pay nothing.

The reel stickers don’t match either the strip numbers or the SMI number on the EPROMs. The first 2 strips numbers are M923-1138 and M923-1139.. I didn’t pull the third reel. The number on the EPROMs are 6487. Just as I figured this machine has had the kit swapped out at sometime.
