Title: S plus 4th of July clear and set . Won't go to 61-1

Hi all.. thanks for past help!! I just purchased another machine. It currently has the 61 error.  The previous owner claimed to have changed the battery and then received the 61.  I tried pressing the white button but it won't go to 61-1 just goes blank for 2-3 seconds and back to 61.  Do I need to clear and set?  If so which chips do I need?

Yep, stuck in the 61 loop. IVC123 & SET15. I can send you both if needed. I recommend changing that SP chip to 1137. It allows additional coins inserted to go to credit rather than dropping to the tray. Very cool. PM if interested.

Thanks for the reply. I actually have an UVC 123 from working on another machine.  So I'm guessing I'll just need the 15 ?   Would I be able to get started by doing a clear and just not be able to use the DBV ?  Which chip do I replace on the board with the IVC 123 ?

Yes you can clear it & not worry about setting it for now. The set chip allows you to set the denom so the BV know how many credits to put on the machine when a bill is inserted. Otherwise 1 coin or token is 1 credit regardless of denomination. It will work just not accept bills yet.

The clear & set chips both go in the SP socket temporarily while their intended function is performed.

Used the clear... Went to the 61 then the 61-1 after that went to code 21.   Had a hard time getting that to clear.. finally did....not sure what I did that eventually cleared it but I won't argue... Lol. So game functions just not the DBV as expected.  Will wait on the set chip to see how that goes.  Door hinge is pretty bad. Do they sell replacement s for these?

S plus upright with a bill validator. Should definitely fit.
