Title: Michael Jackson Icon - Machine Fault: no languages have been installed
Post by: John2014 on July 10, 2019, 05:00:34 PM
Hi friends,

I installed Michael Jackson Icon on A2 v32 with K2000 graphics card.  As the game is loading, got red window with Machine Fault for /games/Menu/MenuId/menuApp(7571): No languages have been installed.  There must be at least 1 language available!

I plugged the topper to the displayport on K2000, the main display to the DVI port.  I believe the OS is 36x with 8GB RAM.

Thanks,
John

Rick,

I'm kinda of new these machines/games.  What is SJUR and how to fix it?  I've tried to install this game on 3 different machines with same result.

Thanks,
John

I'm speculating as far as the SJUR.  The SJUR is the jurisdictional chip on the mpu (it's is a small EEPROM device that holds jurisdictional information, which includes country, state, etc).  Sometimes if the game was not cleared to a specific jurisdiction you will get these kinds of errors.  What SJUR is present on the machine you tried?  It will say the SJUR on the install screen.

I'd provided wrong information on my spec.  This machine has only 4 GB RAM.  Upgrading to 8 GB with the K2000 graphics card has fixed this problem.

On a separate machine, it's complaining about licensing chip.  How can I clear (or fix) the SJUR?  It's AVJURUSORTR0-04 JUR with BAL_OS366J OS.  Does it require a specific version of Clear?  Thanks!

Licensing is usually a dongle issue, what game are you trying to run?

Ultimate Fire Link.  I copied the hard drive from a working machine.

Doesn't make sense. Post photo of the error message.

The bios is not compatible the with OS you have.  What version of the bios do you have?

BIOS 227274B
OS 366J

I want to install Firelink, do I need to downgrade the OS?

Thanks!

Got this resolved thanks to you pointing out incompatible BIOS. I had to downgrade the OS, to what I have in hand,361F.  Then upgrade back to 366J and now I see the option to upgrade BIOS to 227274C. With this upgrade, everything is inline with compatibility.

Thank you again Rick!
