Title: How to tell Alpha 2 MPU version?
Post by: John2014 on September 07, 2019, 12:40:08 PM

Hello friends,

How can I tell the MPU version number for A2 boxes?  This is useful as reference for topics in this forum.

I have a MPU labeled: 219737-600 Rev A, what is its version?  Is there a document to show what BIOS and OS are compatible to MPU version?

Many thanks!
-John

There are really only 2 versions, the 2.0's and the 2.1's.  For some reason each type have multiple part numbers, but I have thoroughly compared various boxes and they seem to be identical.   The 2.0's have audio jacks and the 2.1's do not.  The 2.1's are a bit faster than the 2.0's.
