Title: Gen 1 rs232 connections

i have a Phantom of the opera S2000 without a Netplex..the  printer i have is the RS232 interface ,but need help on how to connect it ..the connectors are under the printer so i am assuming that is where the connections are made..any help would be great..thanks

All S2k machines are netplex. RS232 printer will not work.

there is no netplex board in the topper and no place to install a battery

i miss quoted the printer it is an ithaca 850 printer not a gen1

You can add a distribution board. The stand offs are in there. You will need some harnesses but a rs232 printer still won't work. What battery are you talking about?

there no place for a battery on the board for the netplex battery there is only a MPU battery

after doing some research on the machine..i feel like an idiot...they took out the netplex bridge and the harness for the printer.and the battery for the netplex. out of the machine...i cleared the ram and the machine .and then  it was looking for netplex devices..its weird that it never came up before...thanks for putting up with me

 If so, it's not needed for home use.  :propeller:
