Title: S+back pane
Post by: Rpowell18 on June 01, 2020, 08:01:49 AM
I and having issues with my S+ with a persistent 43 reel tilt ..swapped and replaced the 2 reel because that is the one that tilts ..changed the back pane ,put new pins on the power supply going to the back pane ..moved the reel from 3 to two and still it will tile (43) replaced pins in the reel plug and it will still tilt ..it seams to do it after 13 coins weird ..I have another  reel to check reel one ..I am going to change the reel harness ,I am thinking that there is low voltage to the reel ,as that was the issue on my haywire my thoughts are going to low voltage going into the back pane ..what are the voltage going into the pane..any other ideas will be grateful. Thanks

The backplane is on the base of the S+ cabinet, the MPU is the larger removeable board.

On the corner of the S+ MPU board there is a collection of 5 resistors.
The S+ technically can support 5 reels. Outside of OZ any more than 3 are rare.
You can visually see that 3 of them have had some heat issues.

Swap R3 with R5 or replace with new.

I thought that might be an issue ..I put in several different boards from my machines and all of the worked in there machines but I put each of them in the problem machine and everyone ran fine in the machine except the 43 tilt was still there.

I found the issue.... the number 2 reel plastic incert was rubbing on the reel motor every so often ..I put plastic peices to keep it away from the reel housing and it worked ..no more reel tilt ..thanks for input
