Title: MK7 Hard Meters for NSW game? 6 or 8 meter version required?
Post by: Mk7_4fun on July 18, 2020, 04:45:19 PM

Hi all,

I am trying to run a NSW players choice game in a Mk7 WS and am getting "Active lockups" "Meters Disconnected". My setup has the 6 meter versions of the Mechanical meters. Looking at the parts catalogue it shows that there are two versions of the hard meteres for the Viridian:

1. 589504_106 - Mechanical Meters Module - 8 meters
2. 589504_206 USA - Mechanical Meters Module - 6 meters

This makes me think that only the USA has the 6 meter variant and everywhere else where mechanical meters are required they use the 8 variant version. I also had P1 - P6 - SEF Fail active Lockups and realised this was due to the missing NSW LAB board which I was able to source and remove these lockups. This makes me think the NSW game checks for the 8 version of the mechanical meters...

Looking on fleabay I cannot find any 8 meter boards for sale, on the 6 meter variants ... :-(

Does anyone know whether this is truly the case with the meter boards and versions of games wanting either the 6 or 8? If so, is there a way to bypass this check or do I need to get an 8 meter variant of the mechanical meters? Any help in locating an 8 meter variant would be much appreciated!

thx
