I'm going through some PSRs trying to create a database for myself (and maybe others who want something similar). When comparing my spreadsheet to the NLG Game King Enhanced Video Reel page, there's about 6 PSRs I show, but only 2 are listed as "valid" on the page. Am I overlooking the obvious? Refer to the 2 pics below. The first is from the website and the second is my spreadsheet.
I notice the ones not listed on the webpage are also the ones in my database that don't have a paytable listed. Are the ones with no paytable just an update? Are they a "valid" program? I've done my best to educate myself since I enjoy the "old-school" Game Kings, but I'm stumped. :Scratch-Head:

I don't understand what you are trying to do. I think your reference to the PSR (which is a document that explains the slot program) is being used incorrectly. From what I'm gathering based on your database entries, is that you want to make a database that has the slot programs and what they are? In some cases there will be multiple slot programs for the same game, the difference is typically jurisdictional requirements which usually do not affect gameplay, other than perhaps containing different hold back pay tables. There would also be variations of gaming classes that would also return multiple programs for the same theme.

What I'm attempting to do is to create an easy way for me to get a program # that I'll be able to filter specifics for that game. For example, I may only want to be able to see those with 243 Paylines, or those with 3 Bonus Games, or those that are Multi Game. Then when I find the type of game(s) I'm looking for, I can have the program # and find a way to obtain that flashcard I want. Or if I happen to be lucky and find a working flashcard, I can bring up the program # on the sticker and know what game it is. All without scrolling through pages of the Internet for the information I want. Basically an on-hand reference for myself. Eventually I'll combine this with another spreadsheet and include jurisdictions and other info not found in the PSR.
Ultimately, I want to know what the difference is that I'm missing between the PSRs. In my spreadsheet pic, why are 401, 534, 667, 756, and 763 not valid programs as compared to the website. (I know I duplicated 494 because it was specific to NJ and I treated it as a separate entry). What flag tells me that 494 & 495 are the two programs I want to find if I want Lucky Larry's Lobstermania and not the 5 other programs?
I blame my 20 years in the Navy on my OCD. I'm a hoarder of information when something strikes my interest. It may seem monotonous and worthless, but it serves a purpose for me. :Tongue_Out:

If you read the PSRs in detail, some games are controlled by a host system such as a state lottery. You won't be able to use them with a stand alone setup but those boards can be reprogrammed. Some are int'l games capable of being set for currency options other than USD. Generally int'l games will require the telltale (Varta) battery.

Thanks for the education, Ron. I'll have to learn to spot those that are NOT standalone PSRs and skip those for my purpose. It's not something as simple as a missing paytable as I thought. Much appreciated.

I guess I just realized how stupid I sounded and that I'm doing more work than I need to do in creating this spreadsheet. Who says you can't teach an old dog new tricks? :24:

You have to obtain the PSR for each program. PSR is an actual document published by IGT that details the program. It stands for Program Summary Report. In your particular case
401 is a class 2 (bingo central determination program) and requires the cabinet to be connected to a central server that determines who wins and who loses.
534, 667, 756 and 763 are class 2 PullTab based system (lottery terminal) and have the same requirements to have a host system like bingo. The games are played on the server and the slot machine receives this information and displays the results.
The class 2 programs have no paytables on their own since the spin results are determined by playing a lottery or bingo game on a central server, with the winners getting their portions. These programs cannot be played stand-alone because they require the central server to play the game and post the results. So most of the time when you have several version of the programs, you are going to have either jurisdictional based variations and class 3 vs class 2. As a home user, you can only really use class 3 games.
