Looking for the strips for this machine. Reproductions would be fine. Unfortunately, the third strip was somehow torn in half and the previous owner drew in symbols which, needless to say, is less than attractive...
Any help appreciated!
Thanks!

1088 I think
-
If you carefully lift the end of the reel strip off the real, usually at the bottom of the strip is the info for the strips. Sometimes on the wiper board behind the reels, time to time will have the model of that machine written on it. But not always and you hope the reel unit has not been swapped out with a different one. Contact Jeff at vintageballyslots if you need to find parts.

I'm sure 1088 aka buy a pay
-
it is a 1088 - the reel strips on it are not original bally.
-
Thanks, all, for the info. Much appreciated!
What does "buy a pay" mean?
Any inkling of whether the strips match the pay glass?
-
1st coin buys cherry pays only, 2 coin buys o p b, 3rd coin adds 3 bars which hit a lot on those but your only getting 33x your money back,
some player love those 1088 others hate them
-
Bump. Any lead on strips!?
-
Jason, there were multiple versions of a 1088 made. You have never provided the strip numbers you are needing. No one can help you with out this info. We have oodles of reel strips, but I need NUMBERS!!!
-
Ah yes. Strong point Roz! Here's a picture of what I see on the "good" strip. Let me know if you can help! Thanks!
-
i made note of that in an earlier post - that these are NOT BALLY so the numbers won't match bally. If you post the sequence of the symbols on the strips (bar -cherry - plum etc) starting at the seam and working down - i may be able to identify the strips - just do the left one first.

Ok thank you!
First strip:
Bar
Orange
Bell
Plum
Bar

Second strip:

Third strip, which is partially destroyed (which is why I'm looking for replacements) is, in order of what is left:
Bar
Orange
Plum
Cherry
Bell
Orange
Cherry
Bell
Bar
Orange
Plum
Cherry
And that's where the very poorly drawn symbols, which may or may not be correct (got the machine this way-see picture) begin:
Bell
Plum
Orange
Bar
Cherry
Bell
Orange
Bell
Cherry
Orange
Thanks to everyone for all of your efforts!!! As always, very much appreciated!

will look them up tomorrow (sunday)
-
Much appreciated! Thanks!

sorry to tell you this - but there is no bally match for your strips - your only alternative is to find another reel bundle - this will not require any rewiring - the only thing else you would need to check is that the payout glass you have matches a standard 1088 buy-a-pay.

This guy remakes reel strips for the antique machines and might be able to do a set for Bally. I have talked to him but not bought strips yet. He makes them out of polyurethane strips I think. He might be an option for you.
Good luck

his 1088 is a after market 1088 the bally ones were in different cabinets his is in a 800 series cabinet
-
Bummer all the way around. Should have kept to the good old IGT machines that I am already familiar with. Thanks, though, everyone for your help here. I do very much appreciate it.
-
those strips will be out there, there was a lot of those 800 series that were change to 1088 and 1090 just keep looking some place some has to have a reel basket sitting or a few strips around
good luck
-
I just went back and looked at your pic yours IS a full bally 1088 not a 800 changed to a 1088 , I guess wife is right about my losing my mind , those strip have to be out there not going to be easy but not as rare as the narrow ones for 800 series
