Have a friend that has a S-2000, has a ticket printer, which is enabled, a TITO, and a Hopper, which has the player Payout display enabled, and the payout dollar amount set. when the machine is cashed out , you get three options, press cashout for a ticket, press max bet to cancel, press change for coins!.
would would have to be done to have the hopper pay out as soon as a winning combo would be hit? not go up on credits, but pay immediately from the hopper.

Not sure that can be done.
Right now his machine is set up for partial pay. That is why you get the option. I set my coin machines up very similarly to exercise the hopper.
So I set the partail payout to let's say $2 on a quarter machine. So if I win $10 and press the cash out my option are press cashout for a ticket, press max bet to cancel, press change for 8 coins and a ticket.
His partial payout amount must be set much higher so all coins come out. I don't think you can set it to just payout when it hits.

I think the only way to prevent a hit from going to credits is to set the credit limit to 1 (I don't think it will accept 0). This can force an immediate payout from the hopper. You will probably get a coin payout when you insert a bill or ticket as well so you will have to play coin only.

Also, I believe the option is only displayed AFTER the credits are counted up.
In other words, the event of "counting-up" of credits isn't allowed to be interrupted because the machine and
ticket printer needs the logic data of a grand total in order to print or to do anything else.
I could be incorrect about this....

When the 363s came out all before that became obsolete. Maybe some old SGs would allow for non-credit mode???

Ken is right, after SG143, the player initiated credit option is no longer programmable like it was in the S+. So SG chips 143 and lower will allow you to turn off credit mode (if there are no credit in the machine) and the machine will play like an old S+ coin in/out mode, by pushing the cash/credit button so the light is off before you begin to play. After SG143, the credit option is no longer programmable, so the machine will always be in credit mode.

Thanks, Ken and Rick, I will try this and pass the information to the guy who wants to do this, will these lower SG's numbers work with a TITO? printer etc.
Thanks

Hope it works.
I'm not sure but I would think so.
