Title: Fuse #2 -Illuminations
Post by: timcdfw on October 21, 2020, 06:10:45 AM
I cannot seem to keep Fuse #2 (10A) from blowing....I even removed all the lamps that I think are tied to it...and still.

Anyone know what may be a leading cause of the #2 fuse to blow?

(Transparency....I replaced the fuse holder but I don't think that would be an issue?)  I checked that no wires are touching back there...

Upon putting a new fuse, it will illuminate lamps for about 15 secs...then its out.

The ONLY way that fuse blows out is something is shorting.

You have no other option other than to check each wire coming to and from that fuse.

If the wires are okay and there is nothing exposed, then the short is somewhere on wherever the wires go to.

Look at it this way...you will learn how the harnesses run to every component in your machine.

Get a bag of small zip ties to put back the harnesses together to make them neat, and a good pair of small dikes to snip the tails off.

I get them cheap at places like HarbourFreight
