Title: 14-9 Diagnosis Key
Post by: T on November 01, 2020, 12:41:37 PM
Real new to this IGT G23 system. Trying to slowly learn my way around. If I want to look at system details I assume I would insert the 14-9 Diagnosis key into USB port in small door left of brain box. I assume that will allow me to just simply look at the details of machine like Ram Installed etc... I don't want to change anything just look. Is there another way to look without D Key?

If I do need to Install D Key should machine be on or off or does it matter?

With the machine off insert both the diagnostic key and your ekey and then power the machine on.  It should boot into diagnostics.

Thank you. I don't have a 7key. I have the 3 4 5 key so I would assume the 5 key (chip key) 3 is install and 4 is ram clear

If I remember right 4 is the diagnostic key so you would use #4.

Just to be clear I will insert the #4 key and the Diagnostic 14-9 at same time then fire up machine?

Yes, you need both of them in the secured area (the ones inside the little door).

Thanks Rick. Wanted to make sure. I had a mistake on this machine already (all my dumb fault) that cost me a little and the time to fix. Don't really want to make anymore mishaps. I probably should just buy a 7Key and be done with it since I cant really find much info about the specifics of these 3 keys. I suppose once you know its easy or simple, I just am in the dark about it to some degree.

I have a 3,4,5 set myself.

3 is used for installing items from boot-up.  I have yet to use my 3 key.  So far, I have installed all my packages/files after the machine is already booted up and utilize the 5 key for that process.

4 is used with the diag key (from boot).

5 is used for any kind of setting change (and to install after the machine is booted).

So 90% of the time, I am just using my 5 key....
