Title: S+ won’t accept coin or bills
Post by: Jrush311 on November 24, 2020, 02:36:37 PM
I just purchased this machine needing repair for $200 it’s in good condition and I don’t know very much about them at all. There is a coin in the comparator but the coin always falls through and comes out the front hopper the bill acceptor does not even attempt to take bills I see lights on inside of it and I hear it make noise when you turn it on but it does not try to except the bill. I also notice the small displays on the front are not lighting up , the little digital credits etc there are like 4 little screens and they all are blank

With the power off spin one of the reels and feel the resistance it has. then power the machine on and see if the resistance is the same. If the resistance is the same it's most likely the power supply harness. the power supply harness is located between the power supply on the bottom right and what's commonly called the motherboard. The distance is approximately six to eight inches between the power supply and the motherboard. It will look like this.

They were able to be spun , soon as you flip it on they immediately go into position and don’t feel like can be moved without a lot of force

With the power off you should check all harness connections from the MPU and the door.

Let your wife do it.

You just need to make sure that the connectors that look like they are plugged in are not loosely connected. The metal plate in the back is where the MPU is. Make sure it's pushed down.
