Title: Game eprom crc mismatch-0xb000001, turn key, non-recoverable data error
Post by: paulzona on December 05, 2020, 09:34:21 AM
Hi All,

Have a 10x Perfect Ten machine, model 96438400 that is giving a RAM error, turn key, GAME EPROM CRC MISMATCH-0XB000001, turn key, NON-RECOVERABLE DATA ERROR.  After turning jackpot key a few more times, it wants to go into a test procedure which ends back to original error.  I am looking to purchase this machine from a seller, but not trying to invest in many expensive repairs to get this machine working again. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Thanks much,

Paul

Game chip is probably a bad copy.
You may need a new chip...not a big problem.
Vendors here will have one for you.

I am able to get past the test and it gets stuck on "Please Close The Main Door" and never initializes, what is not happening or could be wrong?  Also, what should be plugged into Cherry door switch I see the COM 1, No 1, No 1, No 2, No 2, and COM 2.  Any help is greatly appreciated.

When you close the main door, you have to latch it closed.  Doing so aligns the door optic sensors thus closing the "main door."  If you latching doesn't make the error go away, then you most likely have either a bad optics situation or the mpu has battery acid damage.

I think I have a door optic problem.  I am not trying to bypass this feature, just want to fix it.  I followed the green and red/white wires and noticed down the cable it doesn't appear to be plugged in.  How ever, I don't know what cable goes where.  I have a picture and looks as if the cable separated from the terminal, can anyone confirm this, where do the green and red/white cables get plugged into?  Also, any info on the Cherry switch?  Help please, this is bothering me and machine will not initialize.

Thanks.

The cherry switch was used by the casino's for security. No big deal not having wires. Now for your optics, one is located on the door right next to the lock on the sliding bar. Make sure the wires are not broken or unplugged. Next, just under the cherry switch is the other optic. Again check wires. Lastly place a piece of painters tape on the side of the cabinet and mark a line where the optics is. Now put tape on the door side and make mark where optic is with latch down all the way. Lastly close and latch the door and compare marks. If they don't line up, they will need adjustment

The light green wire goes to the belly door switch. The red/white goes to the door optic. The darker green wire (not pictured) from the door optic goes to the other side of the belly door switch. Put the 2 greens together to bypass the switch. The cherry switch on the cabinet has nothing to do with the optics unless you choose to bypass. It operates the interior light when you open & close the door.
