Hi, getting intermittent problems due to a bad pin on the right side front 4-pin connector (the orange wire).
Anyone know what type those are? Thanks!
-
Picture of yours would help....there's different kinds....these are males for example.
The housing you have would tell me exactly what should go in there.
-
Hi, it's your first pic, the long thin pin. What type is that?
-
It's an SL crimp terminal from the C-Grid family.
This is the canadian link...they have an American link as well...just take canada out of the link...lol...>>>

Here 's the data sheet....see if it's the same pins you're looking for or not...>>>

I cannot be sure until you show me a photo of your housing. Need I ask you again? :fryingpan: :Tongue_Out:
The more you tell me, the better I can help you. :cool_thumb_up:

Hi, think you've got it. Sorry, was away from the game earlier, connector in pic, mate is behind it.
Thanks for your help!

You may be able to salvage that pin....
There's a hole for each pin on one side of the housing.
Get something pointy and push the tab down a little then pull back on the pin with a needle-nosed pliers.
The pin should come right out the rear end of the AMP housing where the wires extrude.
Then try to spread the tabs on the pin with and Exacto knife and resolder the wire to the end of the pin.
If you tin the end of the broken wire with a little solder, it may be strong enough to hold the pin.
Spread the pin tab slightly upwards then push the pin back into the housing.

Yes, will give solder a shot before ordering. Thanks!
-
Good luck!
Let us know how it turns out! :)

Like the Exacto knife trick, hadn't thought of that before. Just was getting this about right when the 2nd wire popped out of its terminal.
Arghhh...
Just ordered some new ones to recrimp that connector...obviously it's time. Thanks!

Those are JST pins.
